About the Project
InDesk is practice management software for therapists and psychologists in the UK. It brings appointments, clinical notes, assessments, outcome measures, invoicing, payments and client engagement into one platform, so clinicians can spend their time on care instead of admin.
The product was shaped with input from practising clinicians and is positioned for healthcare-grade data handling, with GDPR-ready exports and role-based access control.
The Challenge
Independent practices tend to run on a patchwork: one tool for bookings, another for notes, spreadsheets for outcome scores and separate software for invoicing. InDesk set out to replace all of it with a single platform clinicians would actually enjoy using, without compromising on the privacy expectations of clinical work.
What We Built
A complete clinician workspace, plus the patient-facing flows around it:
- Clinician workspace with a dashboard, client records, appointments, session notes and clinical letters
- Assessments and outcome measures such as PHQ-9, GAD-7 and PCL-5, plotted automatically over time
- Custom forms and intake questionnaires that clients complete through secure links
- A public clinic portal where patients choose a clinician, book a session and pay online
- Invoicing, payments and subscription billing through Stripe
- Team management with roles and role-based access for multi-clinician practices
- Sigmund, an AI assistant that drafts letters and handles routine admin
Integrations
InDesk connects with the tools practices already use: Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams for telehealth sessions, Google Calendar for availability, Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS reminders and Mailchimp for client communication.
Tech Stack
React 18 and TypeScript on Vite, with Redux Toolkit for state and data fetching, Tailwind CSS for the interface, GSAP for motion, and deployment on Vercel.
